Nursing Home Ministry.
In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus said, I was sick and you visited me.
The people asked, when were you sick and when did we visited you?
Jesus said, when you did it to the least of these my brethren you did it to me.
The first fruit of the spirit is love and the second fruit of the spirit is joy. If you want to experience real spiritual joy, go visit an elderly person in a nursing home and give them some love and watch their face light up when you walk into their room to visit.
A lot of these elderly people have no one who really cares for them and a lot of them have been abandoned and left alone. This is a true ministry of love and joy.
A lot of these elderly people are forgotten precious souls and they just need someone to stop by and visit to say, I was thinking about you. Can you imagine?
