The Heavenly Father

The Heavenly Father is the first person of the Trinity.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
I John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

The Heavenly Father is the supreme eternal all-powerful Creator and Ruler of all existence, who acts as a loving, merciful, and personal Father to all humanity. The Heavenly Father is described as the source of life, the Father of spirits, the Father of lights, a protector who seeks a personal relationship with His children. The Heavenly Father is the ultimate source of truth, wisdom and life, the ultimate provider and a nurturing Father who offers unconditional love and a path back to Him as shown in parables such as the Prodigal Son. The Heavenly Father acts as a benevolent parent to believers, providing guidance, discipline for growth, forgiveness and an ultimate plan for eternal happiness revealed most intimately through His son Jesus who taught His followers to call Him "Abba, Father" (Daddy).

Hebrews 12:3-11, For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
