Angels

The Bible describes angels as powerful, created spirit beings serving God, acting as messengers, protectors, and worshipers, appearing in various forms (like fiery seraphim or mighty beings with wings) but never as transformed humans. They are distinct from humanity, carry out divine judgment, and are present at crucial events like Jesus' birth, resurrection, and the final judgment, with believers encouraged to focus on God, not angels, who remain subject to God.
The Bible describes specific types of angelic beings like Seraphim (Isaiah 6) and Cherubim (Exodus 25, Ezekiel 10) as having wings, often multiple sets used for flying, covering their faces and feet in worship but not all angels are depicted with wings. Many appear as humans, functioning as messengers.
Spiritual Beings, angels are created spirits, not humans who became angels, nor do humans become angels after death.
Created by God, they are distinct from humanity, which is made in God's image, a quality not attributed to angels.
They possess superhuman strength, can travel quickly, and can manifest in physical forms sometimes fiery, radiant, or with wings.
There are different types, like Seraphim and Cherubim and their are leaders like Michael the archangel.
They constantly worship God (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 5:8-13).
They deliver crucial messages such as Gabriel to Mary, an the angels to the shepherds.
They guard God's people (Daniel 6:22) and deliver them from harm (Acts 12:7).
They minister to believers, encourage them, and care for them at death (Luke 16:22; Hebrews 1:14).
They are instruments of Judgment: They carry out God's judgments (Revelation 7:1, 8:2) and will separate the wicked at the final judgment (Matthew 13:41).
Angels ministered to Jesus in the wilderness and at His resurrection (Matthew 28).
Do Not Worship Angels. John was forbidden from worshipping an angel, who told him to worship God (Revelation 22:8-9).
Believers must test angelic messages against the Bible, as Satan can appear as an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14).
